LEAK DETECTION

HOW THE SOLUTION WORKS

The technology uses spectral aerial imaging - taken from satellite-mounted sensors - to spot leakage in underground distribution and transmission pipes. The raw imagery is then overlaid on a client’s GIS water network and is processed by Utilis’ unique algorithms. The algorithm detects drinking water by looking for a particular spectral “signature” typical to drinking water. InaSat Africa will deliver a pinpointed leakage graphic report overlaid onto a map with streets, pipes and size information. The result? Leaks are found without the time and manpower of field based acoustic surveys
Technical specs:

❏  Utilis’s innovative satellite scanning technology detects leaks efficiently, accurately and faster than existing
            solutions.

❏  Remote sensing of subterranean water leakage is based on a primary algorithm that detects underground
leaks by analysing micro-spectral satellite imagery. Utilis receives microwave satellite images as input and
then applies mathematical manipulation and analysis to provide a vector of coordinates.

❏  InaSat processes the collected scan data and provides the utility with the leak locations and estimated leak
size. From discreet, professional technical support to turnkey programs that perform. all leak correlation for
utilities, works closely with utilities with solutions to convert found water leaks into revenue.

❏  Utilis has selected a specific microwave wavelength not only for its ability to penetrate the ground, but also
due to its high sensitivity to treated water characteristics.

❏  Surveying an entire network periodically, provides monthly or quarterly results as requested

ON SITE CHLORINE AND SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE GENERATION

HOW THE SOLUTION WORKS

For decades, industrial users of chlorine gas, caustic soda and sodium hypochlorite have been forced to rely on regular deliveries of these chemicals to sustain their processes. With these innovative and cost effective on-site generation technologies, the safety risks and unpredictable costs of bulk delivered chemicals are a concern of the past.

These generators are essentially small-scale chlor-alkali plants that generate either chlorine gas and sodium hydroxide or sodium hypochlorite in the same high quality, ultra pure, 10-15% concentration levels, as bulk (membrane system generated) sodium hypochlorite is produced today. These membrane cells make this system unique, and unlike conventional sodium hypochlorite generators do not require weekly backwashing.

With these systems chlorine gas or sodium hypochlorite is produced and delivered at the point of usage and on demand eliminating unnecessary costs of purchase including supplier costs, their mark up, transport, and your storage space. These systems are delivered fully assembled, ready for installation. They are highly reliable and require minimal maintenance.

MODULAR AND RAPIDLY DEPLOYABLE WATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS

HOW THE SOLUTION WORKS

InaSat through its uniquely designed and advanced water treatment and desalination technologies provides a broad range of modular, scalable and rapidly deployable water treatment plants. We strongly believe in treating water from any available water resource locally where geographically needed hence reducing the carbon footprint.  Our technology and business model effectively eliminate technology risk, as well as the need for capital investment on the part of our customers.

Whether you are looking for high quality drinking water, industrial process water or simply need to treat and recover wastewater or mine-water, we have acquired some of the most advanced, reliable and cost-effective products and services on the market. High-quality potable water can be flowing within hours of the unit being deployed.

Seawater, effluent, acid mine drainage, under-ground aquifers and rain water are a potential source of large amounts of potable water for coastal communities and industry, and can help relieve the pressure on water resources generally associated with economic and population growth.
